Easy Guide How to Choose Simon Switches Like a Pro!

How to Choose SAHN Switches Like a Pro!
Are you confused about how to order switches for your new home? Most of us are used to the traditional “Module + Frame” system, where you have to count every single 1-way switch and match them with 1, 2, or 3-gang frames.

But with Simon, we make it much simpler and sleeker. Here is everything you need to know before placing an order.

  1. We Sell “Complete Sets”
Unlike other brands, SAHN switches are sold as complete units.
  • One Unit, Multiple Buttons: You can choose from 1 to 4 buttons (gangs) on a single plate.
  • The Benefit: A seamless, premium look with no gaps between modules, making it easier to install and much more beautiful on your wall.

  1. Mixing 1-Way, 2-Way, and Intermediate Switches? Here’s the Trick!
A common question we get is: “Can I have a 1-Way switch and a 2-Way switch on the same plate?”

The answer is: Yes! And here is the easiest way to buy them.

If you need a mix of 1-way and 2-way functions in one spot, simply upgrade the whole unit to the 2-Way version.

  • Example: You need a 3-button switch. Two buttons are for normal lighting (1-Way), and one button is for the stairs (2-Way).
  • How to order: Just buy one “3-Gang 2-Way Switch.” Because a 2-Way switch can function perfectly as a 1-Way switch. Buying the 2-Way version ensures all buttons look identical and simplifies your ordering process.

We also offer Intermediate Switches in both 1-button and 2-button options for those who need to control lights from three or more locations. Intermediate switch can be wired as 1-Way and 2-Way switches as well, but not the other way around.

Quick Checklist Before You Order

  1. Count your points: How many switch locations do you have in your house?
  2. Choose your gangs: How many buttons do you want at each location (1, 2, 3, or 4)?
  3. Check the function: If any button at that point needs 2-way control, just order the 2-Way version for that entire unit.
